Scroll through a highlight reel of the best messages in your server!

Discover is a feature that allows anyone in your server to bring up a feed with messages that have previously been reacted to and vote on them as they scroll along.

Get started by using /discover server. Use the ⬅️ and ➡️ buttons to go through the messages, and use the Plus and Minus buttons to give a message Karma. You can also press the 🔗 button to bring up the original source message.

If the server you're on does not have the default Plus or Minus reactables, they will be replaced by the global icons, and they will only award the user Global Karma.

If you come from Reto Legacy, this is the successor for the ?postleaderboard command.

Filters

You can filter through the kinds of messages you find on Discover with the command arguments.

Sort

By default, messages are shown in a random order. If you wish, you can optionally order them chronologically (Newest and Oldest) or By Karma, to see the most voted messages first.

⚠️ For You is an experimental feed still in the works that may not work correctly. It's loosely based on Reddit's karma-weight system. After it's fully implemented, For You will replace Random as the default feed.

Member

You can select a specific server member you want to see the messages of, whether that be yourself or someone else.

Skip React

If you want to scroll through posts like it's a Tinder feed, you can enable skip-react to go to the next post queued up after you give a message on Discover a reaction.

Global Discover

Messages from servers set as public will show up on a /discover global feed in a future update to Reto.

Due to moderation concerns, at the moment, this functionality is not implemented. You can track its development on this Github issue.

If you choose, you can pre-emptively opt out of Global Discover by using /privacy, on a server or user level.
